I am pleased to be promoted as principal at Laneville ISD. I have served as Assistant Principal for the previous four years. During this time, I have come to now the students, parents, grandparents, community members, as well as reunite with old acquaintances. This begins my 33rd year in education. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, in addition to my Master of Education and Reading Specialist certification. I completed by Principal certification through Lamar University of Beaumont. My husband, Rick, and I live in Mt. Enterprise where I get to visit my son, his wife, and two beautiful granddaughters every chance I get. I previously taught 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade self-contained classes at Mt. Enterprise ISD. My last teaching assignment at Mt. Enterprise was Jr. High English Language Arts, where my students made exceptional progress scores. I have learned that education is about expectations. We expect students to come to school every day, be respectful to their classmates and their teachers, and pay attention in class. Our students are meeting our expectations, and along with our teachers' persistence and lesson planning, we will do our very best to measure and meet our progress goals and help our students become successful and productive citizens, along with being safe. I will continue to give my best to our students, staff, and community to make Laneville ISD a better place and a place where students feel safe and want to come to school. My wish is for every student to be a success in the classroom, at home, and certainly in life after graduation from Laneville. Please help me help our students. Be the person who has a smile to offer, a kind word to share, or a respectful gesture such as opening a door or giving an extra hand. We care at Laneville, and I hope to continue our excellence in education. My office is always open if you have a concern or want to visit. Go Jackets!
